BACHT: Specialist Flash Heads

Kingsize rents and sells Bacht flash heads and studio equipment. Bacht manufacture generic flash heads, and supply them pre-wired with plugs that will fit Broncolor, Profoto, and Elinchrom. They are branded as Bacht, however often when you order and purchase the same units from Bron or Profoto, they are simply rebranded Bacht units. Made in Germany, Bacht equipment is made to the highest of standards.

RENTAL / DEMO GEAR FEATURE

Today, we feature three of our specialist rental units: the Pencil Light / 3k Fresnel / 2k Fresnel w/ projection attachment.

Pencil Light: ideal for special effects, or awkward placement. We recently rented this to a shoot where they needed to simulate a wizard holding a magical light source held in his hand. Similarly because of it’s compact size and weight, it can be hidden or placed in small awkward places. You could use it inside a fridge to look like a fridge light, or above a visor in a car for lighting talent, etc.

3k Fresnel: This unit offers a traditional fresnel source with flash functionality up to 3200w (3k). There is a built in 650w modeling light so you can preview your flood / spot effect. Compared to other solutions, this is the most compact sized lamp combined with great optics.

2k Fresnel: one of our most popular special effect flash heads, this unit can almost do it all. Due to it’s design and optics, it’s extremely efficient, and therefore powerful. nb: if you are using a 3k pack with this 2k head, you must not exceed 2000w or you endanger blowing the flash tube.

Additionally, you can fit an optical projection lens to the lamp (replaces the fresnel lens) and with this, you can fit gobos that will create a lighted pattern (eg: tree branches, venetian blind, window frame, etc) or you can use an iris to make a precise round circle, or add cutters to make a triangle ot square, etc.
