NEW GEAR: Matthews M25 Tripod (coming soon)

Coming very soon is a new Matthews M25 video tripod & head. No it’s not a Sachtler, and no, it doesn’t have a true fluid head, but for the purchase price of approximately $USD170 it needs to be tried. Based simply on the online reviews and feedback, this product could fit in the niche between consumer grade head and legs, vs anything over $1000.

We are keen to test the M25 with HD-DSLRs as soon as we receive it, and we’ll let you know our results.

UPDATE 9/6/10: our test unit arrived last week, and our initial conclusion is that this is definitely not a production unit. If you want something for personal use within a budget, then this is a good option. We will not be putting this out for rental, but if anyone wants to test it out for possible sales, just let us know.
