OMS Profile: Laura Court

After studying Photography in Christchurch, and also completing an exchange at Rhode Island School of Design (where my love for New York began) I graduated in 005 with a Batchelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photography.

I spent the following few years trying to decide if I should start my Masters concentrating on documentary photography or move to Auckland in search of assisting and possible work: Auckland won and in 2007 I started working at Croydon Studios as a full time assistant, after six months at Croydon I began freelance assisting which I have been enjoying for the past 1-2 years.

Within the next year my plan is to continue assisting; start shooting more of my own work, and move to Europe and then to New York.
